has anyone purchased the actual cd in the us? is maybelline a hidden track? if not, i'm really getting pissed. i know it has been said many times over that social d is really screwing the longtime fans and i'm starting to think it's true because it's the longtime fans (aka FINANCIAL SUPPORTERS) that would be interested in the new song Far Behind and Maybelline. we'd also be interested in having a copy of the artwork, notes that come with the cd. how do you get this? YOU GOTTA BUY IT TWICE!!! gotta pay $10 to itunes to get one song and another $12-16 to get the cd.

No production credits, no band members credit (for each song), nothing special at all. With the amount of time left over on the cd, they definitely should have included Maybellen (not sure of the spelling) witht he cd and not an iTunes exclusive. I can see if the cd was full, but it definitely was not.

I'm pretty disapointed in the cd as well. I just bought it. Most of the songs just sound like remastered demos...when the angels sing sounds like it has an echo or something on it. There are few more guitar screeeches, little noises here and there on other songs.
I dont think this is even going to appeal to the new fans or get newer fans to buy other albums. You would think if they where trying to get new fans to buy other albums they would want the songs on gh's to sound top notch or atleast how they sound on the original albums.
As far as im concerned, the greatest hits alubm is just an expensive single.

Well, where do I start? I just got back from Black Hole with Vinyl and CD in hand. I really like how the cd recordings sound, but I was really hoping Maybelline would be a hidden track, it's not. I should of checked Itunes first before leaving the house this morning. I now own three copies of the same ablum
I'm a little disapointed in the band i thought could do no wrong. Somewhere down the road I at least better get one of them signed.

Not only can you find the history from the CD at the Social Distortion site, it's actually just a cut and paste. And at the end, "Thanks to all of our fans for your loyalty and support through the years". It seems like the deciding factor for everybody here on panning the GH effort was the need to buy different media to get the whole package. I wonder if this was Mike's decision or a great idea from somebody at Time Bomb or Rebel Waltz.

I just bought 10 copies of the vinyl for my friends and myself and this record store did not get any of the DVD promos!! I'm pissed! All I wanted was at least one copy!

I'm sure it wasn't his call. And I'm not slamming the album or Social Distortion cause as a loyal fan I dig everything they do. The Album itself is really good. I like the new sound a lot. I would like to see them do a signing at a small record store like Black Hole for the loyal fans that have supported them thoughout the years and for the fans who didn't think twice about forking down $55 for the whole package.
